Rio De Janeiro, Brazil (My Sportsbook) - Cruzeiro becomes the first club to make a significant change after the final day of the Brasileirao on Sunday. The club, which went 18-14-6 to finish in fifth in the league table, decided to let Dorival Junior go on Monday, despite the fact that the team qualified for a place in next year's South American Libertadores Cup. "In a meeting held this afternoon, it was decided that the coach will not have his contract renewed," the club said in a statement on its official website. Junior joins 40 coaches who have either quit or been fired from Brazil's 20 first division clubs since the season started in February.
