Amsterdam, Holland (My Sportsbook) - Adrie Koster has been named as the interim head coach at Ajax, replacing Henk ten Cate. Ten Cate was replaced after he indicated that he wanted to leave the Dutch club for English Premier League side Chelsea, so he could serve as an assistant to current manager Avram Grant. Koster has plenty of experience in Dutch soccer. He was the youth academy coach at Ajax in addition to stints with Willem II, Roda JC, Excelsior Rotterdam, and VVV Venlo. He was fired last season as the head man at RKC Waalwijk, but he will now take over one of the top club's in the Netherlands. Ajax is currently second in the Eredivisie standings, one point behind Feyenoord. However, the club has already been eliminated from European competition after losing to Dinamo Zagreb in the first round of the UEFA Cup.
