Englewood, CO (My Sportsbook) - The Denver Broncos signed free-agent linebacker Jamie Winborn Tuesday. A seven-year player, Winborn joins the Broncos after playing for Tampa Bay last season. He was released by the Buccaneers on September 1. Winborn was originally selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft out of Vanderbilt. He has played 62 career regular- season games -- with San Francisco, Jacksonville and Tampa Bay -- and has tallied 266 tackles, nine sacks, three interceptions, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries for his career. In 2006, Winborn appeared in 14 games and posted a career-high 14 special- teams tackles while adding six stops on defense. To make room for Winborn on the roster, the Broncos waived tackle Chad Mustard.
