Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - Calgary quarterback Henry Burris and British Colombia defensive lineman Aaron Hunt were named CFL Players for the Month of August on Thursday,

Burris was named Offensive Player of the Month after leading the Stampeders to a 2-1-1 record in the month of August. He completed 66 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,389 yards and nine touchdowns with only two interceptions. Burris also added 30 carries for 214 yards rushing and four touchdowns. The Stampeders are third in the West, with a record of 4-4-1.

British Colombia's Hunt was named the Defensive Player of the Month. The defensive lineman had four sacks, 11 tackles, a pass knock down and a forced fumble.
