New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Major League Baseball suspended Tampa Bay Devil Rays outfielder Carl Crawford for two games and fined him an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions in a game on September 3. After being called out at first base against Baltimore, Crawford was livid on the play as replays clearly showed that he was safe. Crawford then charged first base umpire Paul Nauert, jumping up in the air and spiking his helmet between his legs before Nauert ejected him. The suspension was scheduled to begin Wednesday night, but Crawford appealed and continued to play. He had three hits, an RBI, two runs scored, and stole his AL-leading 47th base in a 17-2 home win over Baltimore on Wednesday. Crawford is hitting .314 with 10 home runs and 76 runs batted in this season.
