Charlottesville, VA (My Sportsbook) - Virginia quarterback Matt Schaub, who injured his right shoulder in the Cavaliers' 27-0 win over Duke on Saturday, will miss the team's game against South Carolina on Saturday. Though the extent of the shoulder injury is at this time unknown, the Washington Post reported that the 2002 ACC player of the year will miss at least one week for 15th-ranked Virginia, and possibly more. Schaub was sacked by DeAndre White on the first drive of the Duke game, as he dropped back to pass from just outside the Blue Devils' end zone. He remained in the game to complete the drive, but Virginia settled for a field goal on the series. Schaub ended 5-of-6 for 84 yards. His replacement, Anthony Martinez, completed 6-of-15 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown in relief. Martinez will start at Columbia, South Carolina against the Gamecocks on Saturday.
