Blacksburg, VA (My Sportsbook) - Virginia Tech has suspended backup quarterback Marcus Vick and starting linebacker Brandon Manning for violating unspecified team rules. Vick and Manning will both miss Virginia Tech's home game against James Madison on Saturday. A redshirt freshman, Vick came off the bench during Virginia Tech's 49-28 win over Central Florida on Saturday and finished 7-of-10 for 100 yards and a touchdown. Manning, a junior, collected six tackles and one-half sack during the win. Chris Clifton, a redshirt sophomore, is expected to replace Vick as the No. 2 quarterback behind Bryan Randall, while freshman Aaron Rouse will fill in for Manning.
