Carson, CA (My Sportsbook) - The United States Women's National Team used goals from Kristine Lilly, Shannon Boxx, Lindsay Tarpley and Heather O'Reilly to earn a decisive 4-0 victory over Finland Saturday at The Home Depot Center in the team's final match before departing for the Women's World Cup in China. U.S. veteran Lilly was playing in her record 331st international game and added an assist in the contest to become the second woman to reach 100 goals and 100 assists in international soccer. Former U.S. star Mia Hamm was the first. Boxx scored the game's first goal at the half hour mark when she headed a Lilly free kick home from about 10 yards out. Lilly scored her 126th career goal six minutes later by redirecting pass into an empty net from close range. Tarpley scored in the 68th minute to make it 3-0 by blasting a shot just inside the right post from about 12 yards out. O'Reilly closed out the scoring 14 minutes from time when she fired a cross home. The U.S. will leave Monday for the Women's World Cup in China before opening Group B action Sept. 11 against North Korea.
