Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - University of Pittsburgh wide receiver Billy Gaines died June 18th after he fell nearly 25 feet from the ceiling of a church. On Wednesday, Allegheny County's district attorney announced that multiple charges have been authorized against the church's pastor. Rev. Henry Krawczyk will be charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Gaines, 19, who fell from the church ceiling after climbing into a crawl space. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Krawczyk will also be charged with one count of recklessly endangering another person. The Homestead pastor is also being charged with furnishing liquor or malt or brewed beverages to minors during a cookout the night of the accident, according to the paper. Gaines reportedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.166 when he was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He had been living in the church's convent for a short period of time because his apartment was damaged in a fire.
