Getafe, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Spanish La Liga club Getafe signed Argentina defender Daniel Diaz from Boca Juniors to a deal worth nearly $5.5 million. Diaz helped Boca Juniors, Argentina's most storied club, finish second in the Clausura standings last season. Boca opens the new season against Rosario Central on Aug. 5. Getafe finished ninth in the La Liga standings last year. Getafe opens the 2007-08 season on Aug. 26 against Sevilla. |
