Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - Rice, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, and UCLA each advanced to the super regionals of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.
The Rice Owls, the No.2 ranked team in the country and the top seed in the Houston Regional, edged TCU, 3-1, to punch their ticket to the next round.
Ole Miss, smoked Sam Houston State, 21-13, in the Oxford Regional to reach the super regional for the third consecutive year.
Mississippi State took out sixth-ranked Florida State, 9-4,in the Tallahassee Regional to advance for the first time in six years. The Seminoles had a 23- game winning streak earlier this season.
The third seed in the Fayetteville Regional, Oklahoma State, edged seventh- ranked Arkansas, 7-6, to move on.
UCLA held off favored Long Beach State, 7-4, in the Long Beach regional to punch their ticket to the super regionals
In the Chapel Hill Regional, third-ranked North Carolina takes on Western Carolina, with Western Carolina needing to win twice to advance to the super regionals. Western Carolina ended a 13-game losing streak against East Carolina to advance.
Texas A&M won both of their games on Sunday, forcing a deciding game with Louisiana-Lafayette in the College Station Regional. Louisville also won twice to force a meeting with Missouri in the Columbia (Missouri) Regional.
After falling to Michigan on Saturday, Vanderbilt, the No.1 team in the country, came back strong on Sunday with two wins to force a rematch with the Wolverines on Monday in the Nashville Regional.
Wichita State won twice on Sunday, with the second victory coming against Arizona to force a decisive game against the Wildcats on Monday in the Wichita Regional.
In the Columbia (South Carolina) Regional, Charlotte eliminated NC State in the third game of the day and will need to topple South Carolina twice on Monday in order to move on.
On Monday in the Myrtle Beach Regional, Clemson needs to upend Coastal Carolina twice in order to advance to the super regionals.
Action in the Charlottesville Regional was rained out on Sunday. A winner could be determined on Monday as Virginia, takes on the winner of Rutgers/Oregon State.
The Round Rock Regional also fell victim to the elements, as play was suspended with UC Irvine leading fourth-ranked Texas, 6-5, in the bottom of the seventh inning. UC Irvine will advance to the super regionals if they can hold on for the win.
