San Lorenzo dropped a 2-1 decision to Velez Sarsfield on Saturday, which allowed both Boca Juniors and defending champs Estudiantes to move to within three points of the top. Boca fell behind by two goals in the opening 26 minutes as Argentinos got goals from Gonzalo Choy and Leonel Nunez. However, Boca rallied to score the next three goals and take a 3-2 lead with 25 minutes to play. Neri Cardozo got Boca on the board in the 32nd, and Martin Palermo scored his league-leading 10th goal of the campaign in the 58th minute to level the match.
