Moscow, Russia (My Sportsbook) - Both CSKA Moscow and the Russian National Team took a hit on Sunday as keeper Igor Akinfeyev tore knee ligaments while playing in a Russian Premier League match against Rostov. The 21-year-old netminder fell awkwardly midway through the second half of his team's 1-1 draw, and is now expected to miss nearly the rest of the year. This injury is not only a big blow to CSKA, who is currently in second place in the league standings through eight games, but also to the national team, where Akinfeyev serves as the starting keeper. Now, Russia will have to do without its top man between the posts during most of its Euro 2008 Group E qualifiers, including a pair of key matches against England in September and October.
