=== Carolina gives Buckner four-year extension === Charlotte, NC (My Sportsbook) - The Carolina Panthers and veteran defensive tackle Brentson Buckner agreed to a four-year contract extension on Tuesday, club general manager Marty Hurney announced. The 31-year-old Buckner, who is entering his 10th season, missed four games in 2002 when he was suspended by the NFL for violating the league's policy on anabolic steroids and related substances. Despite the absence, he finished the season with 47 tackles and five sacks. Buckner spent a year with Cincinnati and another three seasons with the 49ers before signing with the Panthers for the 2001 season. That year, he posted 38 tackles and 4.5 sacks in 16 games -- including 10 starts. In another move, Carolina added Mexico native Marco Martos, a wide receiver from Barcelona of NFL Europe.
