Golden, CO (My Sportsbook) - Former Denver Broncos safety Mike Harden was sentenced to six years in prison on Friday for violating restrictions placed upon him following a felony theft conviction last year. Harden was sentenced to six years in a halfway house in 2002 for defrauding about 15 people of $64,500, primarily women he was acquainted with. He forged checks and had numerous credit card accounts opened in his name or the names of the 15 people. He saw that sentence revoked in April after keeping unapproved bank accounts and making purchases at restricted locations that violated his original sentence. During his eleven seasons in the league, Harden had 33 interceptions in 128 games with the Broncos, before being released in 1989. He also played two years with the Oakland Raiders.
