Enschede, Holland (My Sportsbook) - Ajax jumped over Twente and back into the top three of the Eredivisie standings on Sunday at Arke Stadion with a resounding 4-1 win thanks to three goals from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The match began well for the home side as Blaise N'Kufo but Twente ahead after 10 minutes, but Huntelaar soon canceled that tally out with the first of his three goals in the 21st minute. Nine minutes later, the Dutchman doubled his mark with a second goal to make it 2-1 to Ajax. Ryan Babel then struck a damaging blow for the Amsterdam club right before halftime with a goal to put his club ahead by two. With 15 minutes to play, Huntelaar then completed his hat trick to put the match away. The hosts seized the advantage early when Orlando Engelaar found Kennedy Bakircioglu on right wing. Bakircioglu then crossed for N'Kufo, who headed the ball home at the near post to put Twente on top 1-0. Ajax hit back 11 minutes later to level the match on a very similar play as the opening goal. This time it was Urby Emanuelson's cross that produced a header for a goal as Huntelaar easily finished from close range. Huntelaar was on the board again 10 minutes later with some help from Twente keeper Sander Boschker. Huntelaar's free-kick cleared the wall but Boschker had a tough time picking up the ball and watched it hit the back of the net without much of a reaction. Babel then tallied right before halftime to take the wind out of Twente's sails. He made room for himself 18-yards from goal and fired a hard shot past Boschker into the bottom corner for a two-goal Ajax cushion. Twente never showed any threat of getting back into the game over the final 45 minutes, and Huntelaar capped the day with his third goal 15 minutes from time. In other Eredivisie play on Sunday, draws were the order of the day as league- leaders PSV could only manage a 0-0 draw with Excelsior, second-placed AZ also was held to a scoreless deadlock with Feyenoord and ADO Den Haag earned a 2-2 tie at Vitesse.
