Algarve, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - For the second consecutive game, Carli Lloyd scored the game winner for the U.S. Women's National Team (WNT) in the 2007 Algarve Cup. In this past Wednesday's win over China, Lloyd scored just before the break to put the WNT up 2-1, which is how the game ended. Friday, it was just after halftime against Finland that Lloyd got a goal to make the score 1-0. After collecting an attempted clearance by the Finnish defense on a corner kick, Lloyd volleyed a shot from about 16-yards out that found the back of the net in the 49th minute. It was the team's second Group B win in as many tournament games with the team taking on Sweden on Monday. The winner of the game will earn a spot in the final against the Group A winner, as the Swedes are also 2-0 in their first two matches. Head coach Greg Ryan made a handful of changes to the starting lineup from the USA's opening win, including the insertion of veteran midfielder Shannon Boxx, returning to the WNT for the first time since ACL surgery in May. Three-time Women's World Cup veteran Briana Scurry also got the start in goal, going the full 90 minutes to earn the clean sheet.
