Glasgow, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - The Frankfurt Galaxy became the first team in NFL Europe League history to win three World Bowls, as they crushed the Rhein Fire 35-16 in World Bowl XI on Saturday. Running back Jonas Lewis was named MVP, rushing for a World Bowl record 126 yards and a touchdown. Robert Gillespie added 88 rushing yards and also scored a touchdown out of the Galaxy backfield, as Frankfurt combined for 246 yards (8.2 average) and three scores on the ground. Rhein moved the ball between the 20-yard-lines well, totaling 418 yards of offense, but couldn't punch the ball into the end zone until late in the fourth quarter, when the game was well out of hand. The Galaxy scored the first 11 points of the game and led 25-9 at halftime helped by touchdown runs of one yard by Lewis and 29 yards by Gillespie. The Fire fumbled inside the five on the opening drive of the second half and Frankfurt marched 99 yards the other way for a touchdown to virtually seal the contest. The Galaxy also won World Bowl titles in 1995 and 1999.
