Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - Tayshaun Prince ripped the 76ers for a career-high 33 points, and the Detroit Pistons cruised past Philadelphia, 98-89.

Richard Hamilton added 22 points for Detroit, and Ronald Murray scored 12 points and doled out 12 assists for the Pistons, who have won two of three after dropping three straight.

Detroit has won five straight and 10 of the last 11 meetings against the Sixers.

Samuel Dalembert scored 14 points and raked in 17 rebounds for Philadelphia, which lost its third straight, and its fourth in five games. Willie Green scored 16 points off the bench, and Joe Smith scored 13 points and grabbed 10 boards. Andre Iguodala scored 15 points and tallied seven assists in the loss

Hamilton and Prince buried the 76ers in the third quarter. Hamilton scored 12 points in the quarter, and Prince scored seven, including a three-pointer with 1:35 left and a layup with three seconds remaining that boosted the Detroit lead to 80-64 entering the final 12 minutes.

"We just tried to let the offense come to us," said Hamilton. "I think we did a great job of executing our offense. We were getting the shot we wanted to shoot."

Prince continued his personal onslaught into the fourth quarter, including a dunk and a trey on consecutive possessions midway through that boosted Detroit's lead to 18 points. Prince's three-pointer put the Pistons up 90-72 with 5:43 left, effectively salting away the win.

"They are solid," said Iguodala of the Pistons. "Everybody is on the same page - the true definition of team play. Everyone feeds off of everyone else."

The Pistons scored six straight midway through the second quarter to open up a 12-point advantage. Two Murray free throws put Detroit up 36-24 with 7:36 remaining. Philadelphia did not fade quite so early, though, and baskets by Andre Miller and Smith in the final two minutes brought the Sixers to within 47-44 at halftime.

Prince scored 10 points in the first quarter, including a three that put Detroit up 24-18 with just over two minutes left, but the Sixers hung close, and baskets by Miller and Dalembert sent Philadelphia into the second quarter trailing by only two, at 24-22.

Game Notes

Miller tallied 10 assists to go along with his six points...Philadelphia (9-24) fell behind idle Charlotte (9-23) for last place in the Eastern Conference. Detroit hosts the Bobcats Wednesday night...Prince went 13-of-18 from the field.
