Porto Allegre, Brazil (My Sportsbook) - Five days after news that Ronaldinho would become a Spanish citizen early next year, the Brazil and FC Barcelona star showed the pride he has in his roots, as he announced plans to open a soccer school for needy children in his Porto Allege hometown at the inauguration ceremony on Wednesday. The two-time world player of the year will name the school the Ronaldinho Gaucho Institute and it will serve as a means of helping as many as 3,500 children back into society with an emphasis soccer, along with other sporting activities and classes specializing in theater, dance, languages and computer science. Fellow Barcelona teammate, Jose Edmilson also plans to give back to the community when he launches his "Sowing Dreams" Foundation in his hometown of Taquartitinga with the inaugural ceremony next Thursday, proceeded by a soccer game.
