Jerez, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Three-time Champ Car Series champion Sebastien Bourdais is apparently looking to return to racing in Europe sometime in the near future. Bourdais, who is testing for the Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula One team this week told www.GP2006.com that "I hope the test is only the beginning and that it will lead to greater things. "This test will make it possible to get an idea of the situation and I am hoping that it is the start of something concrete, namely a race drive." The Frenchman was offered a seat by the Arrows F1 team in 2002 just before it folded. Since then he has been offered test driver positions, but no seats in a competitive machine. Bourdais will defend his Champ Car title in 2007 with his No.1 Newman-Haas team.
