London, England (My Sportsbook) - The last time that Tottenham had beaten Chelsea at White Hart Lane was 1987, but Spurs turned back the clock on Sunday and shocked the two-time defending Premiership champions 2-1 in a thrilling contest. The first 20 minutes of the match saw Chelsea in great form, dominating play and creating scoring chances. The Blues cashed in on a corner kick in the 14th minute as Claude Makelele pounced on a loose ball 25 yards from goal and delivered a strong volley that whistled past the diving Paul Robinson for a 1-0 Chelsea lead. The hosts turned the tables in the 25th on a set piece of their own. Jermaine Jenas served a ball from the left wing into a crowded penalty area. Michael Dawson rose up and redirected the ball past Hilario to pull Tottenham level. Spurs went in front just seven minutes after halftime as Robbie Keane played a cross from the left flank that found Aaron Lennon in the box. Lennon collected the ball and fired it past a helpless Hilario from 10-yards out to send White Hart Lane into a frenzy. With over 30 minutes still to play, Martin Jol's side had its work cut out for it to keep all three points. The task got a little easier as Chelsea skipper John Terry picked up a pair of yellow cards in a 10-minute span, earning his second in the 72nd minute for a takedown on Ledley King. It was the sixth yellow card given to the Blues, the second time in as many matches that this has happened. Chelsea players earned six bookings in their midweek Champions League clash with Barcelona, earning a fine from the FA. A similar punishment is expected following Sunday's match. Despite playing with 10 men, Jose Mourinho's side continued to press the action, nearly finding the equalizer in the 87th. Arjen Robben sent a curling shot towards the far post from the top left corner of the box. The ball sailed past Robinson but clattered off the post, allowing Tottenham to escape with the win and knocking Chelsea three points back of first-place Manchester United in the Premiership standings. Sunday's other matches saw West Ham surprise Arsenal 1-0 on Marlon Harewood's 89th-minute tally at Upton Park. Aston Villa blanked Blackburn 2-0 on goals from Gareth Barry and Juan Pablo Angel.
