Solna, Sweden (My Sportsbook) - Striker Henrik Larsson announced his retirement from international soccer on Tuesday. The striker announced he would not play in the UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying with Sweden. Larsson made his first international appearance in 1993, and went onto earn 93 caps for Sweden. The 34-year-old striker was a part of the 2006 World Cup team, where he helped lead Sweden to the Round of 16. Sweden eventually lost to Germany, 2-0 and was eliminated from the tournament. Larsson scored the final goal of his international career in the 2-2 draw with England in the group stages.
