Hanover, Germany (My Sportsbook) - A pair of teams who dislike each other will square off in Hanover as Spain and France will meet in a World Cup second-round match on Tuesday.

Spain won all three of its matches in group play to book its ticket for this match. In fact, the Spaniards have outscored their opponents, 8-1, in the tournament so far.

"We have strung together three wins, which has really helped to build up confidence," said Spain defender Carlos Puyol. "But we have reached a decisive phase. You've got to be careful in the knockout rounds, one slip and before you know it, you are out."

France finished in second place of Group G with one win and two draws.

Spain has never defeated France in a competitive game. In fact, the 22nd anniversary of one of the worst days in Spanish football history will take place on Tuesday. Back in 1984, Spain dropped to European Championship final to France.

Also on Tuesday, Spain will be trying to avenge a 2000 loss to France, one that sent it home from the World Cup.

The Spanish lineup will be tweaked on Tuesday. Arsenal's youngster Cesc Fabregas is expected to start in the midfield for Marcos Senna

On the French side, defender Eric Abidal and veteran Zinedine Zidane are set to return from suspension.

The winner of this match will move on to play the victor of the Ghana/Brazil affair.
