West Allis, WI (My Sportsbook) - Veteran Ron Hornaday Jr. captured the pole for Friday night's Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200 at the historic Milwaukee Mile. The No.33 Kevin Harvick Inc. Chevrolet driver circled the flat oval in a record 29.503 seconds (122.021 m.p.h.). The previous mark was 29.513 seconds set by Ted Musgrave in June 2004. The pole victory was Hornaday Jr.'s first of the season and 13th of his Craftsman Truck Series career. Starting on the front row with Hornaday Jr. will be another veteran, Jack Sprague, who posted a second-best time of 29.519 seconds. Between the two front row drivers are 53 wins and five truck series championships. Johnny Sauter (29.631) and Johnny Benson (29.675) will make up row two. Benson's win last week in front of his hometown fans at the Michigan International Speedway helped the Grand Rapids, MI native to close within 207 points of leader Todd Bodine. Also moving up was David Reutimann who passed Musgrave for second place in the standings. Bodine will start seventh in the 36-truck field. The race is set to begin at 9 p.m. (et).
