Manchester, England (My Sportsbook) - England announced Wednesday that striker Wayne Rooney will be included in Sven-Goran Eriksson's 23-man squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany. The 20-year-old boarded a return flight to England's base in Baden-Baden, Germany after a receiving a positive result from his decisive foot scan. Rooney, who remained a question mark for the World Cup roster, fractured the metatarsal in his right foot during United's league match with Chelsea in April. The striker fell to the field with just minutes remaining in the 3-0 loss. England faces Paraguay June 10, in Frankfurt in its opening match.
