Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - North Carolina and Stanford headlined a number of schools who reached the NCAA baseball super regional round on Sunday. In Chapel Hill, top-seeded North Carolina crushed Winthrop, 14-2, to reach the super regional. Tim Federowicz's two-run homer in a six-run fourth inning propelled the Tar Heels (48-13). North Carolina will face either Troy or Alabama next weekend. Chris Minaker had five hits and scored six runs to pace Stanford to a 17-7 victory over North Carolina State in the Austin Regional. With the win, the Cardinal (33-25) advances to the super regionals for the sixth time. In Atlanta Matt Wieters belted two homers to lead Georgia Tech to an 8-4 win over Vanderbilt.The Yellow Jackets (48-16) move on to the super regionals for the third year in a row. Miami bested Manhattan in Lincoln when Scott Maine hurled a complete game in the Hurricanes' 10-4 win. Miami (39-21) won its 13th consecutive regional title to move on. Mark Wright hit a home run and drove in four runs as Mississippi bested Tulane, 12-4, to advance in the Oxford Regional and earn a second straight trip to the super regionals.
