Rotterdam, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - Three Dutch players sustained injuries during the Netherlands 1-1 draw with Australia on Sunday in Rotterdam. Midfielder Phillip Cocu left the field 10 minutes before the half with a thigh injury, while midfielder Wesley Sneijder and defender Giovanni van Bronckhorst were sidelined with ankle problems in the second period. Dutch head coach Marco van Basten is most concerned about Sneijder, who crashed into an opponent after sailing a volley at the Australian goal "Sneijder is limping and his ankle is strapped up," Van Basten told reporters. "We'll have to wait 24 hours to find out how serious it is. We have to wait and see how it develops." The Netherlands face Serbia and Montenegro in Leipzig next Sunday in their opening World Cup group match.
