Monterrey, Mexico (My Sportsbook) - Paul Tracy captured the Tecate/Telmex Monterrey Grand Prix, defeating Michel Jourdain Jr. by 2.039 seconds. Tracy, who took the checkered flag at the season-opening Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, became the first driver to win the first two races of the year since three-time CART champion Rick Mears accomplished the feat in 1982. Mears went on to capture the championship that year. Alex Tagliani, Adrian Fernandez and Bruno Junqueira completed the top-five. Details to follow.
