Houston, TX (My Sportsbook) - Paul Tracy confirmed his long-term commitment to Champ Car and Forsythe Championship Racing on Thursday with the signing of a five-year agreement. The agreement will keep Tracy in the open-wheel racing series until 2011. "I'm looking forward to racing Champ Cars for several more years," said Tracy. "This was actually a pretty easy decision for me. I've been checking out some other types of race series this year and that's been a great learning experience and a lot of fun, but at the end of the day there's just nothing like Champ Car." Tracy, who has 237 starts in 16 seasons of Champ Car competition, is the active leader and seventh all-time with 30-career wins. The Canadian needs one more victory to tie Al Unser Jr. for sixth-place. "Paul has always been my kind of driver," said Forsythe Championship Racing owner Jerry Forsythe. "He doesn't take anything off anybody, and there's nobody I'd rather have in the car when it comes down to the last lap."
