New Orleans, LA (My Sportsbook) - New Orleans Hornets forward Jamal Mashburn suffered a knee injury during Tuesday night's preseason game against Orlando. According to team physicians, Mashburn might have sprained his left knee versus the Magic. The Kentucky star finished with 12 points and is scheduled to undergo an MRI exam on Wednesday. "We're going to have an MRI on him today and see how he is and go from there," head coach Paul Silas said. "We don't know yet, but we should know in a matter of a couple of hours." Last season, Mashburn suffered throughout the playoffs with a virus that turned into vertigo. The team believed its playoff run last season was cut short in the second round because Mashburn was out. Mashburn averaged 21.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 40 games last year for the Hornets.
