East Rutherford, NJ (My Sportsbook) - Easton Alliance N, driven by John Campbell, exploded down the stretch Friday to capture the $118,560 Overbid Final at the Meadowlands. The five-year-old mare outpaced odds-on favorite Loyal Opposition to win by a neck. Finishing third was Burning Point who set the pace in the mile event. The time for the Overbid Final was 1:51 1/5. Last week Easton Alliance N was third to Loyal Opposition with Burning Point finishing second. Loyal Opposition has been voted champion older pacing mare the last two years. Easton Alliance N is owned by Katherine Bardis and trained by Ross Croghan. In her last five races at the Meadowlands, the mare has two wins, two seconds and a third-place finish. Friday's win was worth $60,000. Easton Alliance N returned $32.40, $5.80 and $2.40. Loyal Opposition paid $3.00 and $2.10, and Burning Point paid $2.40 for show.
