Orchard Park, NY (My Sportsbook) - The Buffalo Bills have tendered an offer sheet to Arizona Cardinals restricted free agent offensive lineman Reggie Wells, the Bills announced on Friday. The Cardinals have the right to match the offer and retain Wells. However, if they choose not to, Arizona will receive compensation in the form of a sixth-round draft choice, which is where the team drafted Wells in 2003. The 6-foot-4, 320-pounder out of Clarion State has appeared in 40 games in his NFL seasons and started 26 consecutive games before going down with an broken left ankle in Week 10 of the 2005 campaign. "I felt that I was improving vastly from my second year to my third year and it was a shame that I got hurt," said Wells. "I really wanted to finish the season with my guys." Wells was examined by the team doctor for Buffalo and has been told that he is recovering well from the injury. Also on Friday, the Bills re-signed linebacker Mario Haggan and wide receiver Josh Reed. Reed was picked by the Bills in the second round of the 2002 draft. He has caught 143 passes for 1,699 yards with six touchdowns in 60 career games. Last season Reed had 32 receptions for 449 yards and a pair of scores. Haggan was drafted by the Bills out of Mississippi State in 2003 and has spent his entire career in Buffalo. In 33 games he has recorded 41 tackles.
