St. Louis, MO (My Sportsbook) - St. Louis Rams offensive tackle Grant Williams, who suffered a fractured right fibula and a dislocated ankle in Sunday's game against Oakland, was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. Williams had his right leg buckle after Rams quarterback Marc Bulger rolled onto him during a sack. He was carted off the field wearing an air cast. The Rams, who earned their first win of the season on Sunday, have had their share of injuries on the offensive line. All-Pro left tackle Orlando Pace tore his left calf during practice on September 25, and has not played since. Also, guard Adam Timmerman has played through a strained left knee and tackle John St. Clair has endured a strained hip flexor. The 6-foot-7, 328-pound Williams was acquired by the Rams in August in a trade with the New England Patriots. The 28-year-old Louisiana Tech product entered the league in 1996 as a free agent signee of the Seattle Seahawks before inking a deal with New England as an unrestricted free agent in March 2000. Also Tuesday, the Rams signed offensive tackle Andy King from the practice squad to the active roster and added running back Maurice Douglas to the practice squad.
