PITTSBURGH (AP) - Thousands of Steelers fans painted their faces black and gold and crowded downtown Tuesday for a parade honoring the Super Bowl champions. Holding Terrible Towels and dressed in Steelers gear, fans stood in temperatures in the mid-20s amid snow flurries awaiting the arrival of the team. Jeff and Stacy Krieger traveled 3 1/2 hours from York County to Pittsburgh last night to be at the parade with their 9-year-old son, Dylan, and 6-year-old daughter, Makensey. ``It's been 25 years or however long it's been,'' said Jeff Krieger, a construction foreman and lifelong Steelers fan. ``It might be another 25 years. You never know.'' The Steelers won their fifth Super Bowl title Sunday, beating the Seattle Seahawks 21-10 in Detroit for their first NFL title since 1980. The parade, featuring several high school marching bands, was to begin at Mellon Arena and head to Point State Park.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
