Harrisburg, PA (My Sportsbook) - Hall of Fame driver Catello Manzi has been voted the 2005 Driver of the year by the United States Harness Writers Association. Manzi was voted into the Hall of Fame in 2001. The 55-year-old Manzi is leading all drivers this year with more than 700 victories and has a chance to finish 2005 atop the wins list for the first time. Three times in his career, Manzi has finished second in total wins. Affectionately known as "Cat Man", Manzi is second in career North American wins with more than 11,400. He trails only the legendary Herve Filion. On the all-time earnings list, he is third behind John Campbell and Mike Lachance with more than $110 million. Manzi regularly makes the drive from Freehold to the Meadowlands on the same day.
