Kansas City, M0 (My Sportsbook) - The Kansas City Royals traded outfielder Matt Diaz to the Atlanta Braves for reliever Ricardo Rodriguez. Diaz hit.281 for the Royals last season with one home run and nine RBI's in 34 games. The 27-year old former Florida State Seminole has hit .252 in 48 career major league games with both the Royals and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. The righthanded Rodriguez, 24, was 3-9 with a 5.34 ERA in 33 games for Myrtle Beach, Atlanta's High Class A affiliate. Rodriguez was assigned to Double-A by the Royals and will be in minor league camp during spring training. |
