Tampa, FL (My Sportsbook) - San Francisco quarterback Jeff Garcia is suffering from a cold but is still expected to play on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Garcia normally sits out of practice on Saturday's, but he stayed at the hotel in St. Petersburg while his teammates worked out at Raymond James Stadium for about an hour. Garcia, who has made 53 consecutive starts for the 49ers, has battled through arm and hand injuries and a stomach virus this season. Last weekend in the wild card round, he guided his team to a 39-38 comeback victory against the New York Giants, as the 49ers rallied back from a 24-point deficit. Meanwhile, starting cornerback Jason Webster also did not work out on Saturday because of a sprained ankle. He missed the game against the Giants because of the injury, and is listed as questionable. Rookie corner Mike Rumph will start if Webster cannot play.
