Buenos Aires, Argentina (My Sportsbook) - Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo will not be with the Argentinean nation team Saturday for its match against Paraguay.

Crespo is suffering from a thigh injury and did not travel to Buenos Aires to meet up with his teammates. Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Galletti and Corinthians midfielder Javier Mascherano will also miss the contest due to injuries.

River Plate striker Ernesto Farias was the only replacement named by Argentina coach Jose Pekerman.

Argentina leads South America's qualifying group and has already secured a spot in the competition next year. Paraguay is in a battle for one of the coveted four spots in the group.
