Porto, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - FC Porto signed defender Marek Cech to a four-year contract on Wednesday with an undisclosed transfer fee going to Sparta Prague. The 22-year-old helped lead Sparta Prague to the Czech Republic Division I title last season. Cech played in 38 games for Sparta Prague last season, his first and only campaign with the club. Cech will replace Nuno Valente, who moved to Everton over the weekend, on the FC Porto backline. FC Porto has won its first two games of the Superliga season, sitting in a five-way tie atop the table.
