Hernan Crespo netted two goals and Juan Roman Riquelme also found the back of the net to give Argentina a 3-0 advantage at the intermission. Roberto Carlos scored in the 72nd minute for Brazil, but it was too little, too late. Argentina has 31 points, with Brazil remaining in second place with 27 points.
