WASHINGTON (AP) -Long snapper Ethan Albright re-signed with the Washington Redskins on Monday. Albright, known as ``Red Snapper'' because of his red hair, will return for his seventh season with the Redskins, the team said. He has not missed a game since joining the Redskins in 2001, and he just completed another year without a bad snap on punts or field goal attempts. The 35-year-old Albright has also played for Miami and Buffalo in his 12-year career. The Redskins also announced that several players hav |

The 47-year-old Grimm is, like Cowher, a Pittsburgh-area native. Grimm played at Pitt before starring on the Washington Redskins' renowned ``Hogs'' offensive line. He joined the Steelers' staff seven years ago after eight years as a Redskins assistant. Grimm also has one asset few candidates possess: four Super Bowl rings, three as a player and another as a coach. Last year |

Webster re-injured himself against the Washington Redskins, his second game back after missing four games because of turf toe. Websters roster spot was taken by rookie R.J. Cobbs, who has been on the teams practice squad since December 19. Cobbs originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Minnesota Vikings in 2006. |

| (MySportsbook) - The Carolina Panthers' puzzling 2006 season was officially stamped a disappointment this past Saturday, when the New York Giants knocked off the Washington Redskins to completely eliminate the Cats from the NFC postseason picture. New Year's Eve got a little better for the Panthers, when they hung a 31-21 loss on a New Orleans team that assumed Carolina's expected mantle atop the NFC South Division, although the playoff-bound Saints had basically subbed out all of their meaningful players by th |

Perhaps Barber should have saved some of his career-high and franchise-best 234 yards and three touchdowns he recorded in a win over the Washington Redskins on Saturday for this weekend's playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. Barber, a three-time Pro Bowl player, flourished under the new scheme of quarterbacks coach Kevin Gilbride, who was handed the play-calling dutie |

| (MySportsbook) - The Washington Redskins never lived up to their preseason billing in 2006, and will now have plenty of time to dwell on a year that wasn't. After opening the season with a tone-setting loss to Minnesota, Washington closed out its 2006 campaign with a disappointing 5-11 record and a last-place tag in the NFC East, just one year after reaching the divisional round of the playoffs. A big reason the Redskins had such a down year was injuries, including a season-ending setback to running back Clinto |

General managers Bobby Beathard and Charley Casserly and owner Jack Kent Cooke picked the players and crunched the numbers when the Washington Redskins were winning three Super Bowls in the 1980s and early 1990s. Now, as the Redskins pick up the pieces from a 5-11 season, their greatest need isn't at cornerback, safety, defensive line, linebacker or receiver although they certainly could use an u |
