| Arlington, TX (MySportsbook) - Texas Rangers outfielder Juan Gonzalez had successful surgery last month in Puerto Rico to remove a fatty mass from his chest. Gonzalez had a minor procedure performed December 27 to remove the lipoma, which is a benign tumor made up of fat cells. Lipomas commonly occur under the skin. The 33-year-old Gonzalez was hampered with thumb and hand injuries last season, limiting him to just 70 games played. He batted .282 with eight home runs and 35 RBI. |
