The club recalled pitcher Devern Hansack from Triple-A Pawtucket, activated pitcher Bartolo Colon from the 60-day disabled list and optioned him to Pawtucket. In addition, the Sox designated pitcher Marcus McBeth for assignment. Hansack was 6-10 with a 4.08 earned run average in 25 starts with Pawtucket in 2008.
