METAIRIE, La. (AP) - Saints coach Sean Payton says kickoff returner Courtney Roby appears to have no long-term damage and should be released from the hospital on Monday. Roby suffered a neck injury and concussion Sunday against the St. Louis Rams and was taken to a local hospital. Payton says Roby has ``some soreness in his neck, but the news is good.'' The coach says the Saints will ``see where he's at this week.'' Roby was injured during a scramble for the ball after he fumbled a return in the seco |

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Of all weeks for the St. Louis Rams to be short-handed in the secondary, this could be the worst. They're likely to face the New Orleans Saints' potent offense without their top coverage cornerback. Ron Bartell has a stinger in his neck and left shoulder and said after missing a third straight day of practice Friday that the strength had not returned. Quincy Butler, who had been inactive three straight weeks before playing last week, would replace Bartell for Sunday's game. Backup corn |

| (MySportsbook) - The St. Louis Rams couldn't have asked for a better script so far for their three-game road trip. The Rams showed two weekends ago that they have the offensive firepower to be competitive, knocking off the Broncos in Denver, 36-33, for their first road victory in over a year. But, while the offense was putting together one of its best performances in three years, the defense was outmatched in the fourth quarter and nearly gave the game away. In Arizona on Sunday, the defense got on track. |

| St. Louis, MO (MySportsbook) - St. Louis Rams veteran linebacker Na'il Diggs suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Sunday's 19-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals and will miss the rest of the season, Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo said on Monday. The 32-year-old will probably undergo a surgical procedure this week Spagnuolo said and recovery time is expected to be about five months.
