Linehan said Friday that Faulk probably won't be ready until June. Carolina lost two starters this winter - Will Witherspoon signed a free-agent contract with the St. Louis Rams and Brandon Short was released in a salary-cap move. Adams, who started 16 games last season for the Philadelphia Eagles and had a career-high 101 tackles, is expected to compete with Thomas Davis and Adam Seward for the outside linebacker spot.
