| Boston, MA (MySportsbook) - The Boston Red Sox placed relief pitcher Ramiro Mendoza on the 15-day disabled list Friday with tendinitis in his right knee. Mendoza, 30, pitched the final two innings of Thursday night's 8-7 defeat to the St. Louis Cardinals. He was dealt the loss after he surrendered a three- run homer to Jim Edmonds in the top of the 13th frame.
