SAN DIEGO (AP) -The San Diego Chargers don't want to call their showdown with the Denver Broncos a must-win game. The certainly know it's a can't-lose game. The Chargers were built up in preseason as a Super Bowl favorite, capable of wrapping up their fourth straight AFC West title by Thanksgiving. Denver certainly hasn't been cooperating with that scenario, jumping to the division lead at 5-0 while watching the Chargers stumble to a 2-2 start. An intense rivalry is renewed Monday night at Qualcomm Stadi |

SAN DIEGO (AP) -This might be the biggest game the San Diego Chargers have played in October in a long time. Under siege from everyone from their fans to the general manager, the Chargers host the surprising Denver Broncos on Monday night in a tussle that could go a long way toward deciding the AFC West title. This is as close to must-win as it gets for the Chargers, and it's not even Halloween. Denver (5-0) comes in with a 2 1/2-game lead in the division. SAN DIEGO (AP) -The San Diego Chargers say enough tickets have been sold to lift the local television blackout of Monday night's game against AFC West-leading Denver. The Chargers haven't had a regular-season blackout since 2004. Both of their home exhibition games were blacked out this year, and the club warned that there might be regular-season blackouts as well. SAN DIEGO (AP) -The San Diego Chargers already are at a crossroads just four games into the season. Some might even suggest they're in deep trouble. Physically beaten up by the lowly Oakland Raiders in the opener, the Chargers have limped to a 2-2 record going into their bye weekend. Being .500 at this point might not be that big a surprise, considering that the Chargers played three straight playoff teams from last year, including the two teams that played for the AFC championship. The factors that ma |

Injuries have plagued the former first-round pick the past few years, and this season is no different. Ultimately, however, Mendenhall ensured that the majority of the spotlight would shine on him. They head into their bye week smarting from a 38-28 loss at Pittsburgh on Sunday night and looking to regroup physically as well as mentally. | Pittsburgh, PA (MySportsbook) - San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson was listed as active for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh, but Steelers running back Willie Parker was inactive. Tomlinson missed the previous two games due to a right ankle injury. He was hurt in the season opener, a win at Oakland September 14. Before this season, Tomlinson had missed just one contest in his NFL career. The 5-foot-10 running back had a groin injury in January that forced him to miss the Chargers' playoff loss |
