| San Diego, CA (MySportsbook) - San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Cincinnati. Gates will miss his third game in a row due to a torn plantar fascia in his right foot. He did not practice all week. In 10 games this season, Gates has hauled in 50 passes for 782 yards and 10 touchdowns. San Diego linebacker Stephen Cooper has also been ruled out for the game with a knee injury that prevented him from practicing during the week. Meanwhile, wide receiver Malcolm Floyd |

| (MySportsbook) - If it all seems somehow familiar, it should. The San Diego Chargers, left for dead by some after a floundering start to the 2010 season, have caught fire in the second half and are making an all-out push for inclusion when the AFC playoff field is cast in stone come the first few days of January. Problem is, based on last week at least, they're not getting a lot of help. After past years in which all the right dominoes seemed to fall into place to guarantee a berth for head coach Norv Turner & |

The Chiefs put their perfect home record on the line this Sunday as they host a Tennessee Titans club that will try to breathe some life into its nearly faded playoff chances. At 9-5, Kansas City is a game up on the San Diego Chargers for supremacy in the AFC West. A victory this weekend over the Titans, coupled with a loss or tie by the Chargers in Cincinnati, will put the Chiefs in the postseason for the first time since 2006. SAN DIEGO (AP) - Star tight end Antonio Gates likely will sit out the final two games of the regular season to rest his injured right foot in case the San Diego Chargers make the playoffs. Gates has missed the last two games and four of six with a painful tear in his right plantar fascia. Gates says rest is the only way for the injury to heel. He says the team's other tight ends, Randy McMichael and Kris Wilson, are more than capable of doing the job. In order to win their fifth straight AFC West title, th |

Had the Seattle Seahawks not been defeated by the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, or had the San Francisco 49ers not suffered defeat at the hands of the San Diego Chargers last Thursday, things would be a lot more gloomy for the Rams after they dropped a 27-13 decision to the Kansas City Chiefs. But while St. Louis was unable to slightly pull ahead of its competition, it didn't lose any ground either. Still, the Rams |

| (MySportsbook) - They might have had the most impressive victory of Week 15, but as it turned out, the San Diego Chargers' 34-7 Thursday-night throttling of the San Francisco 49ers did the team precious little good by the time Sunday rolled around. Each of the teams that San Diego, now 8-6, is chasing to secure a spot in the upcoming AFC playoffs won in Week 15, leaving the Chargers in need of outside assistance if they're to continue a run of four consecutive AFC West division titles. | St. Louis, MO (MySportsbook) - Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel is listed as active for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams. Cassel missed last Sunday's 31-0 loss to the San Diego Chargers after undergoing an appendectomy on December 8. He was limited in practice this week but will attempt to keep the Chiefs atop the AFC West with a win. Brodie Croyle made the start last week, throwing for 40 yards on 7-of-17 passing while getting sacked four times. In 12 games this season, Cassel has thrown for |
