Chargers release veteran long-snapper Binn NFL Football 08/30/2011
San Diego, CA (MySportsbook) - Sometimes, paring down a roster to a pre-set, mandatory limit produces some surprise transactions. On Tuesday, the San Diego Chargers parted ways with their long snapper, 17- year veteran David Binn, in an effort to reach the NFL's 80-man cutoff. "I've known David since he came to the Chargers as an unknown long snapper in 1994, our Super Bowl season, and getting to know David has been a privilege," said Chargers president Dean Spanos. "David has been the consummate Charger; ever

San Diego, CA (MySportsbook) - The San Diego Chargers signed veteran linebacker Kevin Bentley to a one-year contract Wednesday. Bentley spent the previous three seasons with Houston. SAN DIEGO (AP) - The San Diego Chargers have signed inside linebacker Kevin Bentley to a one-year deal.

The signing Wednesday is an insurance move in case Stephen Cooper can't play due to a torn right biceps. Cooper, hurt in Sunday night's exhibition win at Dallas, returned to practice on Wednesday and hopes to play in Saturday night's game at Arizona.

Cowboys, Chargers continue prepping together NFL Football 08/19/2011

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys and San Diego Chargers have wrapped up another day of practicing together.

After a normal workout outdoors on grass Thursday, the teams moved inside Cowboys Stadium on Friday for a practice based mostly on situational work - with the scoreboard used to show down, distance, scores and time. Backs and receivers were not fully tackled, saving the hard stuff for when they meet yet again in a preseason game on Sunday night.

Both coaches said they were pleased with how

In Seattle's preseason opening game, a 24-17 win over the San Diego Chargers on Thursday, Curry showed both sides of the picture to date. He amassed two tackles in limited duty, but safety Kam Chancellor had to clean up one early rushing play, because while Curry stood up running back Mike Tolbert, he didn't wrap up and comp
